Mark your calendars for Earth Day with Eighth Day! 🌎 💚 On Saturday, April 20 we will be planting over 7,000 onions at our Northside location, 12330 James St., and we’d love for you and your near and dears to join us. We’ll be planting from 9 AM-12 PM. All ages welcome! Come when you can, leave when you have to! RSVP’ing helps us plan for the day—you can find the link to RSVP in our bio.

Did you know that you can pay for your CSA with SN

Did you know that you can pay for your CSA with SNAP benefits? SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) provides food benefits to families with a low-income to supplement their grocery budget. We’ve partnered with the Michigan Fitness Foundation to cover 75% of the cost of the CSA for folks with SNAP benefits. This means that SNAP participants pay $5.96 per week with their SNAP benefits, with no up-front investment required. If you don’t have SNAP but know of someone who does that would be interested in this program, please share this info with them!

Don’t have SNAP but still face barriers to purchasing a CSA? We fundraise throughout the year to help cover or supplement the cost of a CSA for folks who need assistance. DM us or email Andy at andy@eighthdayfarm.org for more info.

What a difference two weeks makes 🥹 lots of growth happening in our nursery greenhouse right now. Spinach and leaf lettuce will be moved outside to harden off this week, and then the greenhouse will be packed to the brim with seedlings.
